How long will delivery take?
Typical delivery is based on standard delivery times, an average of 2 to 7 days.
How do I place an order?
Customers can place their orders online at lessapparent.com.
How should honey be stored?
Not in the refrigerator! Keep on the kitchen shelf or pantry at moderate temperatures.
Does honey ever go bad?
No. If stored properly, honey will last until it is used up.
How do honey varieties get their taste?
Each variety of honey gets their unique taste from the nectar of the flowers the honeybees visit along with enzymes in their "honey stomach", which makes honey from the flower nectar.
Do all honeybees make honey?
No, just the worker honeybees, and they are of the female gender.
What is "raw" honey?
Raw honey is bottled with minimal processing. As a result, raw honey retains all of the good stuff that comes along with the nectar - pollen, enzymes, phytonutrients, anti-oxidants, vitamins, and minerals. The end result is a premium, all natural, raw honey with an exceptional flavor profile. Our raw honey is as close as you can get to reaching into a beehive and scooping out a handful of golden goodness.
Do you ship outside of the United States?
As of now we ship only within the U.S. An update will ensue for when shipping to Canada becomes available.
Why shouldn't you feed raw honey to infants under 1 year old?
It can cause infant botulism (a rare but serious form of food poisoning). Children under 1 year of age have not developed internal defenses to prevent this type of food poisoning.
Why does honey crystallize?
Crystallization (also called sugaring) is a natural process. The honey has not gone bad, it has merely changed form (kind of like water and ice).
